The Sand Creek Group, LTD, a behavioral health care corporation and a leading
provider of employee assistance services, provides the Employee Assistance
Program (EAP), offered to NRCS employees. The counselors are highly trained,
caring professionals who are dedicated to bringing the highest quality assistance
to NRCS employees and their family members.
The EAP is a problem-solving resource available to assist NRCS employees and
their family members with personal problems or crises that arise. A professional
counselor assists in assessing the situation, finding options, making choices or
locating further help.

Marriage and Family Problems
Alcohol or Chemical Dependency
Work-Related Problems
Parent-Child Difficulties
Emotional Problems
NRCS covers the cost of the initial assessment, additional problem solving
sessions and referral services. If there is a need for long-term counseling or
treatment, counselors will help explore the various insurance and/or payment
options available to beneficiaries.
The Employee Assistance Program is as close as your phone. If you or a family

can resolve an issue in a few minutes. Usually, you will make an appointment to
meet for about an hour to assess your situation.
The EAP is confidential. The Sand Creek Group, LTD. is an outside counseling
resource to assure confidentiality. Employees choosing to use the EAP can do so
knowing that this decision is private. Information concerning an employees’ use
of the Employee Assistance Program does not appear in personnel files. An
explanation of how the program works is provided to ensure the employee's privacy is
protected.
Use of the EAP is voluntary. Usually, it is the employee who seeks the
assistance of the EAP sometimes a supervisory may suggest an employee contact
the EAP. The decision to use the EAP is the employee’s.
